WHY CHOOSE RS MICROWAVE?

(We're better, smarter, different)

With all of the possible filter companies from which to choose, why should you select RS Microwave?  After all, you say, the designers all worked together somewhere, didn't they, and therefore all make the same things?  Aren't they all overly optimistic as to what they can deliver and what specifications they can meet?   If you commit to any of them, and the "guru" leaves, the recipe will be lost and you'll have to change vendors anyway, right?  So why pick any one vendor above another?

RS Microwave (RSM) does not subscribe to the boring, familiar pattern related above.

RS Microwave is one of the few filter companies that continues to invest research and development dollars into internal product development so that new, improved filter architectures and approaches become available to the customers.  It is one thing to have worked with other designers and to have learned from their errors.  It is quite another to continue the learning process and enhancement of the "state of the art".

At RSM, we believe that we can freely tell you all about what we are doing today.....because tomorrow we will do it better!  Some good examples of advances made by in-house development efforts are:

Our Company motto "We Duplicate what We Simulate"™ has allowed RS Microwave to replace optimism with realism. By combining electromagnetic simulation with circuit simulation and including "manufacturing and environmental simulation", RSM has ability unequalled outside of the University community to predict the performance of its filter networks AND achieve the predicted performance.  Although most are familiar with EM and circuit simulation, the inclusion of the manufacturing process tolerances in both mechanical dimensions and plating layers, and the effects of environmental variation enable realistic prediction in both best and worst case scenarios.  When you get a prediction from RSM, it is dependable!

Obsession with documentation and constant training of personnel are quite costly, but through these means RSM has become essentially "guru-proof".  Backup copies, backup programs, test procedures, constant revision and updates, though.burdensome to us, are good for the customer.  We do not depend upon reading the mind of some possibly transient employee of the moment.  Due to our internal training policies, RSM is blessed with well-trained and typically long term (over 7 years average service), knowledgeable and skillful workers in all areas.  With an average work week of over 50 hours, RSM is also hard-working and willing to "go the extra mile" for the customer.  The somewhat obsessive devotion to achievement is part of the company culture, and our very low rate of product return is a direct result.

We are not the lowest priced in up-front dollars; however, when you select RSM, you get technical skills second to none, devotion to excellence and commitment to the customer, as well as the confidence that you will be able to obtain what you want, for as long as you want.
